What an unforgettable anniversary year!
It was already clear in advance that 2019 would be a special year. We have been around for 50 years and wanted to celebrate half a century of passion for perfection – together with and for you. And it worked! It was truly a memorable time. Thus, we at Super Lauwersmeer look back with pride and gratitude and enjoy recalling all the highlights once again.
Anniversary presentation: The Discovery 47 AC
An aft cabin with modern lines, which is both the culmination of 50 years of yacht building experience and a glimpse into the future. That is how our Discovery 47 AC can best be described. We presented our brand-new anniversary model in January at Boot Düsseldorf and shortly afterwards added a limited 50th Anniversary Edition to the range.
Anniversary tour: From Noordburgum to Berlin
Starting in April we gave our 50th anniversary an even more festive touch. Our German representatives Andreas and Andrea Koch left that month with their Discovery for a 6-month anniversary tour from our home port in Noordburgum to Berlin. Along the way they visited more than 60 ports for guided tours and sea trials.
Anniversary party: A large Super Lauwersmeer family
On 5 October the doors of our yard swung open for a look behind the scenes. A large number of customers also travelled with their Super Lauwersmeer yacht to the place where their boat once came into existence. It created a beautiful image of 50 years of passion for perfection and a wonderful party for our customers, relations and employees.
Anniversary jubilee: new Discoveries in the making
From the German Skipper to the Belgian Varen, many international trade media have sailed with the 47 AC. And without exception they are in love with it. The combination of craftsmanship, anniversary activities and positive reviews have led to one of the most successful Super Lauwersmeer years ever: we found an owner for no less than five Anniversary Editions! And we also received orders for various OCs.
Anniversary farewell: Enthusiastic about 2020
Now it's time to say goodbye to our successful anniversary year. It was overwhelming! But it also provided motivation and enthusiasm to turn 2020 into another top year. We are already fully focused on that. We look forward to welcoming you at Boot Düsseldorf 2020, Motorboot Sneek and Hiswa te Water 2020. And we will surprise you once again with a premiere.
