Following its world debut in Düsseldorf, the Powerboat of the Year 2023 will celebrate its in-water premiere at Motorboot Sneek. During the weekend of 14, 15 and 16 April, the innovative motor yacht will be on display in the water sports capital of the Netherlands.

An international jury has named the Super Lauwersmeer SLX54 "Powerboat of the Year 2023". During a gala night at Boot Dusseldorf, the jury – made up of renowned water sports journalists – crowned Super Lauwersmeer's new top model as the boat of 2023.
Aad and Marleen van Dorp both grew up on a farm. Yet their childhoods were quite different. Whereas Aad's family hardly allowed themselves time for interests other than their dairy farm, Marleen was raised on the water and her parents' arable farm. For a long time, Marleen tried vainly to convey her passion for water sports to Aad. A mission she succeeded in, after all, thanks to a concurrence of circumstances and Super Lauwersmeer.
The innovative SLX54 will debut at Boot Dusseldorf in January 2023. The yacht nominated as "Powerboat of the Year 2023" will be in the spotlight at Europe's biggest indoor boat show. An extraordinary moment for Super Lauwersmeer.
It may just be that the premier international award for motorboats could be prominently featured on the deck of the SLX54 this January. Because during her debut at Boot Düsseldorf 2023, the announcement will be made of which yacht will be crowned the Powerboat of the Year. And given that the SLX54 was nominated for this award, it is one of the contenders.
