55 years ago, Piet Wouda built his first boat under a tree at the Lauwersmeer. That this small vessel would lay the foundation for a shipyard of international stature was unthinkable then. Thanks to the determination of apprentices Bastiaan and Louis Jousma to surpass their master, something remarkable happened: every generation of yachts pushed the boundaries of what was possible in steel yacht building.
