Every Discovery 42 OC begins with your story. In our boutique at the shipyard, we listen to how you wish to cruise and live on board, and guide you through choices in layout, materials, colours and details — even when that calls for a solution that has never been devised before. With each yacht we build, our expertise and ingenuity grow further.
From the jetty, you step directly into the open cockpit: a wonderful spot to sit together and enjoy the surroundings. With thick seat cushions, a well-thought-out layout and direct contact with the water, this is where life on board truly begins.
Less favourable weather need not interrupt the outdoor life. With a closable cockpit tent, the open cockpit transforms into a sheltered yet airy space where you continue to enjoy the fresh air.
Open the four saloon doors and cockpit and saloon become one large living space. The generous glazing keeps the water around you visible at all times — whether you are cooking, relaxing or sailing.

The Discovery OC boasts the largest owner's cabin in her class. Thanks to the full bow and straight stem, exceptional length and width are created: a generous private space to fully unwind after a day on the water.
Two guests also travel in comfort. The two single beds stand invitingly side by side, with ample locker space and light from the hull windows. A space that feels genuinely welcoming — not an afterthought.
A combined shower/toilet or prefer to keep them separate? The choice is yours. Whichever layout you choose, the bathrooms are finished with the same care and quality materials as the rest of the yacht.
