With a modern vision of yacht building, while respecting heritage and craftsmanship, Super Lauwersmeer has grown considerably over the past decade. With the introduction of the Discovery series in various AC and OC models, followed by the award-winning SLX54, Super Lauwersmeer took major steps forward in design, innovation and the possibilities to create yachts entirely around the wishes of their owners.
We are now making that development much more visible through a renewed brand identity and visual style. The familiar logo has also undergone a subtle evolution: unmistakably Super Lauwersmeer, yet more modern and fitting for the brand we are today. You will find this new look in our brochures, our magazine and on our completely renewed website. But ultimately, this renewal goes far beyond a more modern logo or a new visual identity. It was time to tell the story of what Super Lauwersmeer stands for today much more clearly.
Bastiaan Jousma, owner of Super Lauwersmeer, sees this development primarily as a logical continuation of the course the yard has been following for many years. “Super Lauwersmeer has grown enormously over the years, but what truly matters to us has not changed. We want to fully understand how someone wants to cruise, travel and live, and then work together to build the best possible yacht for that lifestyle. We felt it was time to tell that story much more clearly.”
Yachts beyond imagination
This brings us to the idea that will define the positioning of Super Lauwersmeer from now on: Yachts beyond imagination. Your vision of the ideal life on the water is not the end point for us, but rather the starting point. By listening carefully, drawing on our experience and thinking beyond existing solutions where necessary, we aim to add something you may not previously have thought possible. From a distinctive layout to space for a motorcycle or jet ski on board, and from a private wellness area to entirely new yacht concepts.
That is exactly the world we want our renewed identity to express much more clearly: the craftsmanship at our yard, the personal way in which we build together with owners and, ultimately, the freedom and enjoyment for which the yacht is created.
At the upcoming HISWA te Water, our new identity will be visible in its full form for the first time. Naturally, you are very welcome to join us and experience for yourself, on board, what Super Lauwersmeer stands for today.
The next step is already taking shape
Development at the yard continues as well, explains co-owner Louis Jousma. “The renewed Discovery 47 OC already offered a first glimpse of our latest developments this spring, and behind the scenes we are now working on the next major step: an entirely new model range. The first two models in this series will be the largest yachts Super Lauwersmeer has ever developed and built.”
“We do not want to reveal too much more just yet,” he continues. “What we can say is that one of the two new models will be a Center Sleeper concept. The other concept will remain under wraps for now. We can also share that one yacht from this new model range has already been sold, and construction will begin shortly.”
