The Discovery 47 OC has always been an impressive presence, but now she will radiate even more confidence. The iconic Super Lauwersmeer model is undergoing its most significant renewal since its introduction in 2018. Driven by a belief deeply rooted in the DNA of the Frisian shipyard: what is exclusive must remain exclusive. That is why the moment has come to usher in the next phase of the Discovery 47 OC.
What began eight years ago as the fulfillment of a customer’s wish for more space, comfort and onboard experience compared to the Discovery 46 OC, evolved into a beloved model nominated for international awards. Heritage that Super Lauwersmeer treats with great care. That is why the flagship now moves with its time and receives a new interpretation. No revolution, but a continuation of what made her successful.
Eight highlights for eight years of evolution
True exclusivity never stands still. For eight years, the Discovery 47 OC has been refined based on customer wishes. Now, brothers Bastiaan and Louis Jousma give their Super Lauwersmeer icon a new impulse. With eight highlights representing eight years of evolution.
A confident presence on the water
A redesigned stern creates an even more confident presence on the water, where slimmer bulwarks give the silhouette contemporary elegance. This powerful appearance is further enhanced by the model’s distinctive colour scheme: a carefully selected combination of green and bronze. Even after sunset, the new Discovery 47 OC remains an eye-catcher. Contour lighting was already present in the interior, but these clean LED lines have now been extended to the exterior.
Experience reaches a new dimension
On board, the experience reaches a new dimension through an intense sense of light, tranquility and space. In the saloon, a unique SkyView roof enhances natural light, while an additional window in the master bedroom below deck creates openness. New features also include the extended swim platform and seating areas on the foredeck and in the open cockpit. The latter can be configured as a straight, U-shaped or L-shaped bench. This creates no fewer than three outdoor areas for connection with the water and with each other. Inside and outside, everything is in place for relaxation. To further enhance this experience, the open cockpit has been extended by 25 centimetres.
Official presentation at Motorboot Sneek
The renewed Discovery 47 OC will have its official presentation from April 17 to 19, 2026 during the Spring Show of Motorboot Sneek. There, visitors will have the first opportunity to experience up close how eight highlights elevate an icon once again. Without losing her soul, the flagship remains exclusive in everything that matters to today’s owner. The new generation is currently in production and will be available from the summer of 2027.
