During the Motorboot Sneek show, Super Lauwersmeer will dock its Discovery AC and Discovery OC yachts. Over the past few years, the aft cabin and open cockpit from the Discovery line were received with a lot of enthusiasm and were both highly praised by the international press. Both models embody the 50 years of experience of the shipyard, resulting in a contemporary design that combines many practical features, an exquisite finishing, and a sophisticated concept.

Discovery OC

The Discovery OC (Open Cockpit), launched last year, measures 14 metres in length and sports an interior that has been completely tailored to the owner's personal wishes. A distinguishing characteristic of the OC is its single-level living space, with the saloon blending seamlessly into the cockpit, resulting in an organic and beautiful flow from the inside to the outside areas.

The Discovery OC 'Sunny Life' that is presented in Sneek offers an even stronger connection between cockpit and saloon. The saloon's ceiling elements continue into the fixed cockpit roof. Thanks to the cockpit's floor heating and its tent, the saloon can also extend into the cockpit when weather conditions are less favourable. The straight couch in the back of the cockpit was turned into a U-shaped couch specifically for this model, and visitors can marvel at the enormous saloon. This makes the yacht perfectly suited for longer trips, which are always comfortable thanks to the spacious captain's cabin and the separate shower and toilet cabinets, as well as by the washing machine, dryer, and freezer that can be accessed through the electrically operated hatch in the cockpit.

Discovery AC

The second ship that Super Lauwersmeer will be presenting during the Motorboot Sneek show is the acclaimed Discovery AC. The Discovery AC (Aft Cockpit) was the first offspring of the brand-new Discovery line, which now includes the aforementioned OC, as well as a Flybridge and a Cabrio. The international press has had nothing but the highest praise for this Discovery with aft cockpit. 'A luxury apartment on the waves', and 'A multifunctional yacht that is just as suited for a comfortable stay in port as it is for long, adventurous trips', are but two of the quotes from renowned water sports magazines.

The Discovery 45 AC that was presented during the Motorboot Sneek show is a true family ship that is also perfect for rental. There are six fixed berths. The stern holds the captain's cabin with a large double bed, a shower/toilet combination, as well as a cabin with bunk beds. Towards the bow, there is another double bed and a second shower and toilet. The spacious saloon holds two seating areas, the large kitchen is equipped with a full-size fridge and freezer, and all space available on board has been used for cabinets and other storage. The sailing characteristics and fuel consumption of the Discovery 45 AC are superb, thanks to the specially optimized hull.
