As an addition to the AC (Aft Cabin) and OC (Open Cockpit) models, the Flybridge will offer the best of both worlds: the single-floor character of the open cockpit, with the option of outdoor steering from the aft cabin. And this model has its own, unique dimension as well.

This new dimension will present itself as soon as you walk up the ergonomic staircase, leading from the aft cabin to the upper deck. Once you're there, you will notice the overwhelming views. Recline comfortably on the large lounge sofa or sit down on the chair at the wheel. Wherever you are, you will enjoy unobstructed views in all directions. Take a nice, cold drink from the refrigerator. Would you like a bit of sun? Fold down the bimini canopy in seconds and store it in the convenient space behind the lounge sofa.

The first Super Lauwersmeer Flybridge

Doesn't this sound like a dream come true? It certainly will be for the first Discovery Flybridge buyers. They purchased the yacht based on the drawings and contributed to the concept. At the moment, the shipyard in the Frisian village of Noordbergum is building a Discovery 45 Flybridge that will be launched in summer. This will be a Super Lauwersmeer first: it's going to be the very first Flybridge in the yacht builder's 45-year history.

One of a kind

Super Lauwersmeer is rightly proud of its third Discovery model. “The Flybridge is a one of a kind ship," says Louis Jousma, owner of the yard. “A completely steel Flybridge, measuring 14 metres in length that is simply a feast for the eyes. That is unique", he says.

Passion, craftsmanship and innovation

As we have come to expect from Super Lauwersmeer, this yacht has been built with passion, craftsmanship and innovation. A specific Flybridge feature, for instance, is the very elegant staircase that hardly impedes upon the panoramic views from the saloon and the cockpit. And then we haven't even touched on the ample headroom throughout the entire ship, the generous storage spaces below the cockpit and in the saloon, the large shower cabin, and the comfortable facilities such as a washer/dryer, a Quooker water tap, and a dish washer.

Optimised underwater body

As for the engines, customers can opt for a 150 or 220 hp diesel engine. Thanks in part to the optimised underwater body, this steel yacht can realise a very good mileage performance.

The Super Lauwersmeer Discovery 45 Flybridge will have its first outing ever during the 2016 HISWA te Water Fair.
