The jury was particularly pleased with the high quality of the nominated yachts. 'Special innovative elements were incorporated in all categories. This shows that the industry is properly incorporating the constantly changing needs of modern water sports enthusiasts into its new products,' said jury chairman Arjen Rahusen.

'We are extremely pleased that the SLX54 has been selected as one of the three contenders from the many nominations,' said Bastiaan Jousma, shipyard owner of Super Lauwersmeer. 'It is yet again a testament to the fact that the SLX54 is an innovative vessel that captures the imagination,' he continued.

In the days leading up to the "HISWA te Water", the jury will test the nominees extensively. On Tuesday, 29 August – the evening before the opening of the HISWA – it will be known whether the SLX54 will also win this prominent award. The vessel will be on display during the HISWA te Water (30 August - 3 September), where it will be joined by the Discovery 46 OC "Longroof".
