Motorboat of the Year nominations for Super Lauwersmeer Evolve OC
The Super Lauwersmeer Evolve OC has been nominated for no less than two leading awards.
The new yacht was nominated by the jury of the Dutch 'HISWA Motorboat of the Year' award, and the Evolve OC was also included in the favourites list of the international jury of the 'European Powerboat of the Year'.
Super Lauwersmeer is extremely proud of both nominations. Shipyard owners Bastiaan and Louis Jousma say it is "the crowning glory for all our work." The jury commends the Evolve OC's distinctive and revolutionary design and is particularly captivated by the structural quality and the degree of finishing. The criteria applied in the Evolve OC nomination have been important components of the shipyard's years of strive for perfection. "These two nominations confirm that Super Lauwersmeer is a pioneering company and are a recognition of the decades that it took to acquire our experience," the brothers say.
Prestigious nominations
The Evolve OC is the calling card of the shipyard's new course. Besides its familiar values of quality and innovation, Super Lauwersmeer is focussing more and more on design. And the customers obviously find this combination appealing. With these prestigious nominations, the 45-year old shipyard confirms its forward-looking vision.
European Powerboat of the Year
The international jury will announce the winner of the European Powerboat of the Year award during Boot Düsseldorf 2016. The jury consists of editors of eight important European water sports magazines, including the Dutch "Motorboot" magazine.
HISWA Motorboat of the Year
The winner of the 'HISWA Motorboat of the Year' will be announced in early March during HISWA in the Amsterdam RAI. The independent jury, consisting of several Dutch water sports media and famous yacht designers, will pay particular attention to the construction, sailing characteristics, price-quality ratio and design. Innovation plays a major part in the judgement.
Super Lauwersmeer is confident about the jury's decision. During the "HISWA te Water" show, both the press and visitors, as well as industry competitors, showed great enthusiasm about the Evolve OC.
